The first few months were tough trying to get on our feet, but as the word spread and people loved the prices, we slowly started to take over the Jackson market. We grew to over 75 contractor accounts in 2006, and in 2007 that doubled to over 150.

In 2007 Central Mississippi Building Supply's business exploded and we became rated the number one distributor of USG, Magnum, Murco, and RUCO muds in the Jackson metro area. The big one was USG, everyone carried USG, and to know that we were there largest distributor was a huge deal to us, and a big leap forward in our way of of looking at things for the future. From there we tweaked the way that we did things by adding a boom truck for faster mud deliveries and also adding a line of sheetrock, we also hired in some employees to help grow the business further.

2008 has been a great year so far even in a recession. Commercial business in Jackson is thriving, and the metro area has added many new commercial developments. Residential homes have slowed down but they should be back on the rise by the end of 2008.

In 2008 we also added a 5^th and 6th mud to our stock. We added Pro Form mud and Finish Line mud. We are offering their material for those who like pro form and did not feel like switching muds, and for those who wanted to try out a brand new mud to the market.

We also carry a full line of taping tools including: Tapetech, Columbia, North Star, Tape Worm, Drywall Master, Apla-Tech, and Goldblatt.
